Recently I’ve made a career switch into secondary education and I love what I do. There is no job more engaging and rewarding than being a teacher, and teaching science is the perfect career for me.

I’ve had a bit of a meandering career path since graduating with my physics degree from the University of North Florida. I lived and worked abroad in Japan and The Netherlands.  I was privileged to have interned at Trompenaars Hampden-Turner in the Netherlands in a variety of roles in the fields of training and development, client relations, and cross-cultural management – most recently in 2018 and started in 2013.  I supported the development of the Culture for Business app during its infancy which I am proud to be involved in.  I completed a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, with an emphasis on cross-cultural psychology. Nowadays, I work with students from a multitude of different cultural backgrounds and I use this experience to ensure my students receive the best education I can provide. I truly enjoy helping young minds grow and hope to have a long and successful career in education.

Zach is now a Science Teacher at Ida S. Baker High School for Lee County School District in Florida.
